I was able to say a proper goodbye to everyone in my cluster, which probably made all the difference in the world of why I was able to semi keep it together while everyone pulled off. Yes, I was the last part of the last group to leave - both a blessing and not so good. It has been fun to explore this new city - I like it better than the capital because it isn't as crowded or polluted. I'm glad that I will be living close by to this! It has also been good to get to know the others that will be close by too.
I mean, I know one of them pretty well because they were in my cluster - but the others...there really isn't a whole lot of opportunity to get to know other clusters in PST. You can if you make a point to hang out with them at hub day (when we all got together for training) or get together in the limited free time. The best time to begin making connections is during IO so don't get sick like I did during that future PCTs!
Tomorrow we depart and will separate into 2 different districts, which will bring more emotions overflowing. Aside from all of that, I really am looking forward to it. My counterpart mentioned my Dee Dee (older sister) loved to dance and there would be a time where we could dance for a week! One of these days I'll get around to asking him if they are looking forward to having me stay with them and etc. but at the moment I'm more focused on trying to work through these emotions so when I arrive I won't be falling apart.
It's actually kind of crazy how we have all begun to be tired at 8pm. Granted, I ended up not sleeping last night until 1am...but even prior to that everyone has certainly adjusted to Nepali sammaye (time) especially with the sleeping schedule, which everyone typically goes to bed around 8pm. Speaking of which, I am about to fall asleep on my computer so I'm going to sign off now that I've updated a little more on things. Hope y'all are well and please continue to keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers! I will do another post tomorrow night if there ends up being internet again at our next hotel!
