Since the internship was a majority of my hours this semester and I am doing fairly decently in my classes, I decided to add another class that is just recently being offered as a late start. It is “Rehabilitation Counseling in Deafness”. This leaves me still with 5 classes although 1 of them is really just a class where we talk about our internship with others. Probably wasn’t the brightest idea, but it shouldn’t be bad and is online so its still conducive to my schedule.
In addition to adding another class, I have started a new blog on another blogging site. (This is it, in case you didn’t realise!) One of the reasons I started another blog is because there is an extremely strong possibility (I think so, at least) that I will be joining the Peace Corps. I am currently in the place where one waits to receive an invitation after filling out a questionnaire for updates since I first began the application process in late August.
I have been nominated for a position in Nepal that is primarily agriculture and women entrepreneurship, though I am eligible for it still due to part of it involving health. This past weekend, I felt like I was still walking in the right direction and that this IS something that I am going to do. However, I do not feel comfortable with stating that it is what I am going to do because I have not yet received an invitiation. There is a time and place for “name it, claim it”, but I do not feel it is that time for me!
Here’s to learning new things and waiting for news!
